Refractory for Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Plant
FURMATS supplies Refractory for Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Plant over 3 decades. Refractory material can be any material, which can withstand the action of abrasive or corrosive solids, liquids or gases at high temperatures are called ‘refractory’ material .The section of refractory material is depending upon the different characteristics for the construction of a furnace . now these days firebrick is the most common refractory material used at a large scale in the construction of small furnaces. we can also use other type of refractories for furnace construction they are high alumina brick, silica brick, magnesite brick, chromite brick, zirconia brick, monolithic etc.
MSW Plant is essential part of waste management for every city. An effectively operated MSW plant offers following advantages : |

MSW Plant segregates municipal solid waste using physical properties of waste like density and particle size. MSW plant converts waste into value by these three processes:
- Waste Segregation: In this process MSW is segregated into – (a) magnetic material, (b) wet organic and (c)dry organic using equipments called magnetic separator & trommel screen. The magnetic metal is sold in market. Wet organic is subjected to composting. Dry organic is further subjected to segregated into as Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) & Plastic for recycling.
- Composting: The wet organic is subjected to anaerobic composting using a microbial culture for 10 to 45 days depending on type of composting process & microbial culture used. After composting is complete, the material is screened through trommel to separate usable compost fraction and inert for landfill. After quality control tests, The compost is sold in market.
- RDF Manufacturing & Plastic Recycling: In this process the air density separators (ADS) are used to separate the recyclable plastic scrap and refuse derived fuel. After testing, both Plastic Scrap and RDF are sold in market.
